A NIE number (sometimes called “white NIE”) is just the identification number itself, issued on a white paper certificate. A NIE card (or “green NIE”) is the EU Citizen Registration Certificate (Certificado de Registro de Ciudadano de la Uni\u00f3n) – a green card that EU citizens receive when registering as residents for stays exceeding three months, which includes your NIE number along with proof of legal residency.<\/p>

You must book an appointment (cita previa) through the Spanish government website with the National Police or Immigration Office in Valencia, then attend in person with your completed EX-15 form, passport, proof of reason for needing the NIE, and payment receipt for the approximately \u20ac10-12 fee.
